Yesterday my new book, Creating Business Growth, was promoted for the first time on Amazon.
In six and a half hours it had made it to the top of the bestseller list on Amazon.co.uk.
A few minutes later it did the same on the Amazon.com site, as the Americans downloaded it in their thousands.
Since then it has made it to the number one spot in no fewer than six other countries.

Take more than 20 very talented marketing excperts and encourage them to write a chapter each. Add a project plan, some very low cost marketing tactics, timing and lots of prospective buyers that want to start the year by growing their businesses.
Oh, and lots of real hard work and sweat and tears. No one said marketing was acheieved by not making some effort. But this book shows where to put the effort and how to leverage effect from the smallest marketing fulcrums.

The recording utilised an iPhone and Audacity with video being made using low cost software (but I could have used totally free software like Video Movie Maker).

I’ve experienced a few problems with my marketing recently!
In recent days I’ve been working on a dedicated website for my new book and have included an autoresponder to gather pre-registrations. But when the first person registered things went badly wrong. They were sent a series oif emails that were unrelated to the book.
Fortunatley the person that received them was Nick Jervis, Nick is a contributor to the book, and he alerted me. The problem wasn’t anything to do with the technology; it was human error. My human error.
So why tell you all this?
