Royalty Free Music for Your Website and Video Projects
December 23, 2012
Royalty Free Music is a low cost means of obtaining quality music clips for your business marketing video projects without having to worry about the cost of repeat fees.
One site able to provide music and vocal soundtracks is UK based SmartAssMusic. You pay from £9.99 to download a track which you can then use as many times as you want in as many places as you want.
Essentially ” Royalty Free Music” is music which is licensed for a single fee, without the need to pay any subsequent royalties. This type of licence is also known as Stock Music, Buyout Music or Library Music.
Other types of licensing arrangements normally require you to pay a “royalty” each time the piece is used.
So “Royalty Free” means that you can use the music as many times as you like, usually for an indefinite period. BUT before you buy please don’t take my word for it, read the small print and satisfy yourself that you are compliant with the normal use agreement.
