Low Cost Marketing: Marketing a Cattery
January 23, 2012
This cattery could teach you a lot about traditional marketing
This cattery has a very simple low cost marketing technique that many other businesses could utilise.
Opposite is a picture of my cat, Daisy, that was taken sometime last year, when we put her in the cattery for a few days whilst we went on holiday.
The enterprising cattery owner took her photo and subsequently sent it to us in a card at Christmas.
Our cat looked happy and relaxed so guess where we booked her into when we booked our next holiday?
The cost of taking, printing and posting a photo is really low .. and our continued custom is worth more. The other advantage is that by prompting people early (at about the time when many of us are thinking of holidays) the number of advance bookings is likely to rise. Let’s face it we all like to know what next season’s bookings are going to look like as early as possible .. and this simple low cost marketing trick provides many answers.
How could you adapt this technique to your business?
